About Agonotheta

This is me when I was about 5 or 6 years old.

What is Agonotheta? Good question. Agonotheta is Latin for 'champion'. Am I being vain and implying that I am a champion of something? No. In fact, my real name, Neil, means "champion" in Gaelic. "Well, isn't that being vain, Neil?" you ask. I don't mean it to be. The way I see it, if my name means champion in Gaelic and Agonotheta means champion in Latin, Agonotheta is equivalent to Neil. Thus, I simply named my blog after myself.

Don't get it? Nevermind. Then just go ahead and assume that I'm vain.

Money-Makin'

I work full-time as the webmaster for a school district. I do a lot of freelance work as well, but I imagine myself working for the District until I am forced to quit because my freelance business is doing so well.

Time-Wastin'

I got a digital camera early in 2002 and since then I have gotten into digital photography pretty heavily. In fact, so much that I take my Canon S330 everywhere I go. Also, in September of 2005 my office bought me a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, so I've been able to take my photography to a whole new level.

I love music. I have a 30 Gig iPod that goes everywhere with me as well.

I also do some sketching. I'm not that great, but I enjoy it a lot. Every once in awhile, you may see some pop up in here.

Poetry also provides a huge outlet for me. I carry a journal/notepad with me everywhere I go as well to provide for when something pops in my head and need to write it down.
