Links, Fajitas and Bonfire

October 18, 2003

Yesterday I went in to the office at about 10 AM, worked on a couple of things, but due to some "network upgrades" couldn't do too much work. Plus, its UEA weekend. Which means that all the schools are closed, and principals and teachers are on vacation. So, after lunch, I worked for an hour, which actually consisted of talking with some of the ladies in other departments. Its pretty funny, but just about every female I work with wants to hook me up with her sister, friend, cousin, etc.

So all in all, I worked about 3 hours yesterday. Which was nice to have a day off. So I met up with John and Nate and played 9 holes of golf. Considering I only played a few times this year, I was pretty happy with my performance. I even had a couple of pars, one of which required a great save out of a sand trap. I landed it within 5 feet of the cup and nailed the putt for the par. It was great.

I snapped this picture of the last hole as we were leaving.
Kristin, John's wife, made us dinner and after we met up with probably 20 people or so in the mountains for a bonfire. Here's John getting it going.
