Exploring Downtown
On Saturday, I awoke early and set out on my bike at a good pace. My primary goal was to time the ride to my office so I could begin commuting there regularly. My secondary goal was to spend at least a couple of hours in the saddle of my bike. I achieved both. It took about 25 minutes of riding at an average pace, not pushing real hard, but not taking it easy. Once I left my office, I explored downtown. In the 20 plus years I've lived in Salt Lake I've never really spent any time just poking around looking for interesting things. I ended up spending about two hours on bike just cruising around the city alleyways, poking into as many nooks and crannies as I could. I found a lot of really interesting things and decided I would come back later that day with my camera and take some photos.
So, after about three and a half hours (achieving my second goal), I returned home. Upon returning, I called my friend Nate and told him to come over and bring his gorgeous 400+ horsepower Toyota Supra.
As usual, both of our cars were shined up and looking good. So, we went to several of the places I had found and had a little photoshoot of our cars. Thus, I present to you my favorites from our small excursion downtown.

Flickr

After being jeered by Jill, I thought of a solution to my Photos section. You see, I've been "working" on it for the last year (not really). So, now my Photos section will send you to the Flickr site that I've had (and not been using) for the last few months.
So far, I've only uploaded some favorites from my trip to Philly last year. Check it out.

Trailrunning Photos
Here's the photos I promised from my run on Sunday. The day was a little overcast, and as you can tell there was snow on the ground, but it was a great day to run. In fact, I wore a t-shirt and shorts.

White-Washed Good Morning
This is what I awoke to this morning. I really do love the snow. In fact, I wish I'd wake up to this much snow everyday until the end of winter.
This is what it looks like from out of my door. It may not look like much, but in the summer, its very pretty with the trees and shrubbery and hedges that are out of frame to the left of this picture. I'll try to post a summer picture. I'm a lazy bastard, I can't help it.
I had a good weekend. It didn't involve much, but here's the rundown.
- » Erik and I hung out at my place all weekend.
- » Went to a college party and felt completely out of place with the youngins.
- » I saw a band called the Disco Drippers that a friend is in.
- » I saw Stuck on You.
- » I played far too much Grand Theft Auto III.
- » Slacked on cleaning and laundering until late Sunday night when I remembered I had no clean underwear for this morning.

My Three Beautiful Sisters
This candid photo is one of my favorites from my sisters' wedding.
As is the custom, we (the wedding party) were waiting for everyone to get seated and they (my sisters) were peeking out to see who had already arrived.
